Nami from One Piece; the Mugiwara Kaizokudan's navigator. When I drew this a while back, I didn't know what outfit to give her, so I just stuck with a boring old blue t-shirt that shows no cleavage whatsoever.
Okay, English. I really did think this was a boy when I saw it. I only realized it was a girl because I read your comments...and you realize too that you can't see that she's a girl from her chest...But also her neck led me to think it was a guy. Generally the lines of the neck are more pronounced in men with anime/manga styles.
Also, the ears. They look a little "pinched" to me. Like, the ear lobe area is a little too large, and the inside of her ears are too small. No big deal though.
I like her expression and her eyelashes!
I didn't think she looked like a boy. Then again, the other person might be talking from expierence in the shoujo sector of anime... something I am uncomfortable with as a whole. Nothing wrong with shoujo... I just fear most of it for some reason buried within my brain-vault.
Erm, I still like the drawing for the drawing itself. ^_^ I know my first, second, even third attempts at previously-existing characters often suck... with the exception of altered characters like my Inherited Will group.
Hnnn... Good points. Then again, I did this a year and three months ago, so of course the neck and ear proportions (which I had had difficulty with then; not so much now) suck. However, my drawing style is a cross between shoujo and shounen; I don't really like to categorize it as one or the other, since I don't like most forms of shoujo drawing styles, and I can't draw "true" shounen. *sweat*
I can see why you might have confused my Nami drawing for a boy, as she does look like a bishounen here...
Oh, and don't worry; I understood your Japanese perfectly. It took 5-6 hours total on the entire thing... The hair took at least an hour, I think. I love drawing and toning hair.
